Repeated failures and long lead time for repairs meant a new pump was a viable option, John Gaunt contacted Caprari Pumps for a quotation for an equivalent to 500kW 690V VSD driven Vertical Lineshaft Pump with a duty of 990 m3/h @ 130m.

La proposta Caprari

1 x P18CBU/14-18/55/5Y vertical lineshaft pump fitted with trimmed stainless steel impellers, bronze wear rings & cartridge type mechanical seal. Pump factory performance tested to ISO9906 Grade 2B with efficiency of 84.02% and delivery of 14 weeks.
 

Vantaggi ottenuti

Site back up and running at 100% capacity, large increase in efficiency leading to reduction in running costs. During commissioning our site team measured the running vibration at 0.2mm/s rms an excellent indicator for reliability and longevity.
